Thirty Days of Prayer - Day Twenty Six

As One Who Lives In The Life And Power

God is calling everyone to continually seek him through prayer. Some people pray expecting answers immediately, while others have lost the desire to pray due to unanswered prayer, lack of faith, or failure to understand their relationship with God. But this is not God’s will for us.

In 1 Thessalonians 5:17, there is a call to pray continually—without ceasing—both individually and corporately. Prayer therefore is our personal communication with God. It is developing a relationship and acknowledging the sovereignty of God. We have been given the opportunity and privilege to communicate directly with our God and have access to the throne room of God as his children, who have power through Jesus Christ:“Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God”(John 1:12). This power is acquired through the message of the cross (1 Corinthians 1:18), and through the HolySpirit: “For God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power, of love, and of self-discipline” (2 Timothy1:7).

God is gathering people all over the world who will accept the indwelling of his Spirit and boldly seek him and listen for him. God has given us the life and power to call upon his name; therefore there is no need to doubt him.The earthly fathers know how to give good things to their children; how much more can we expect from God whois sovereign?

God has gifted you with life and power. Therefore, seek Him with full confidence and commitment in your prayer life this week.
