FUM Field Staff Respond to Pandemic

As the world is suffering from the impacts of the COVID-19 virus, FUM is deepening our commitment to connect the global family of Friends and we are increasing our support for our most vulnerable communities. In response to this commitment, our field staff are serving in various ways:

Adrian Moody is guiding Ramallah Friend's School's efforts to initiate remote learning programs.

Shawn and Katrina McConaughey are working with our ministry partners to encourage leaders and provide relief support.

Robert Wafula is implementing a new e-learning program at Friends Theological College.

Nikki Holland and Oscar Mmbali are finding creative ways to connect the students of Belize Friends School and feeding vulnerable families in Belize City.

In a normal year, FUM’s field staff are traveling to our Meetings and Churches to raise funds to support their ministries. Of course, they cannot do that this year. Most importantly, the three-year terms of Oscar Mmbali and Robert Wafula are scheduled to be renewed in September 2020. The COVID-19 threat and associated travel restrictions are preventing them from traveling to raise their support. Because of these challenges, FUM is inviting Friends to generously give to support the ministries of our field staff.
