Across Friends United Meeting, we are seeing what it means to encourage one another in love, not only in word, but through faithful action. The generosity of Friends continues to sustain and strengthen the shared work we carry together.
As a community, we set a goal of $650,000 by December 31, 2026, to sustain the Ministry Support Fund. This fund is essential to the life of Friends United Meeting. It undergirds our global ministries, supports relationships with Yearly Meetings and partners, and allows us to respond faithfully to the needs before us.
Today, we are grateful to share that, together, we have raised over $459,000, reaching just over 70% of our goal.
This is meaningful progress. It reflects both generosity and a deep commitment to the mission we share. At the same time, just under $191,000 remains to be raised—that is, about 29% of the goal is still ahead of us.
For the Spring and Summer fundraising, a $30,000 matching opportunity was offered to inspire the generosity of Friends. That match has not only been met, but surpassed, with over $125,000 raised through the current appeal.
The writer of Hebrews reminds us to “encourage one another.” To encourage is to give courage. In this season, you have done just that. As we continue forward, the invitation remains. The remaining 29% calls for continued participation, continued generosity, and continued faithfulness.
