As Director of Samburu Friends Mission, Sammy Letoole oversees the daily operation of the mission, working with staff and networking with mission partners and other stakeholders. Sammy has worked as Mission Director since 2013.

Sammy has a wide range of educational experiences, including a Diploma in Information Services, a Diploma in theology from Friends Theological College/St. Paul University, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Community Development. Prior to joining Friends Theological College, he worked as a Research Manager for an Anthropologist from Western Michigan University, who coincidentally is also a Quaker. Sammy says about his work: “I'm a peace maker by passion. My prayers are that every person may live peacefully with their Creator [GOD] and their neighbors. There is something good in everyone.” The work of FUM that Sammy feels especially committed to is energizing and equipping people for ministry. Sammy also enjoys visiting families alongside his family and sharing joint prayer.

He is also a shepherd, and in his free time, tends his animals.
